Sheriff Dallas Baldwin
Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin is a retired Lieutenant with the Columbus Division of Police after serving for over 28 years, plus another six a Police Reserve. As a patrol officer, Sheriff Baldwin worked throughout the city - with particular focus on the Ohio State University campus area, west side, and the short east. He also served as a detective on the robbery squad, and as a member of the SWAT team.
In 1990, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and continued his work on patrol and SWAT, while also working with the Narcotics unit. Sheriff Baldwin was promoted to Lieutenant in 1995, where he was assigned to Patrol on the west side. In addition, he worked with the Strategic Response Bureau and served on the Ethics Board.
Sheriff Baldwin and his wife, Barb, have been married 43 years after meeting in high school. Together, they have a grown son who is currently serving with the Columbus Division of Police.
