Community Relations Bureau
The Franklin County Sheriff's Community Relations Bureau has deputies assigned to speak to schools and neighborhood groups in an attempt to educate and gain the cooperation of citizens concerned about community crime and drug related problems. They offer and present well over 100 Safety and Crime Prevention related programs to the public. The D.A.R.E. Program is taught throughout the year in fifth and seventh grades. The Seat Belt Safety Program is presented to students in third grade. Personnel consist of (1) Sergeant, (1) Corporal, (7) Deputies and (1) Civilian.
