virtual Visitation Information

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is changing the way you visit with loved ones who are incarcerated at the Franklin County Corrections Center II located at 2460 Jackson Pike in Columbus, OH.  The Corrections Division has partnered with GTL Viapath Technologies to shift from in-person to virtual visits.  The change will make it possible for you to have more frequent visits with an incarcerated individual without leaving the comfort of your home.  The FCSO will begin implementing the shift in operations the week of August 8, 2022.

You have two options to utilize the new visitation services.

First, visit https://franklinOH.GtlVisitMe.com/app to register online and schedule a visit.

Second, download GTL’s Visitation App in the Google Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.renovo.vismobile&hl=en_US&gl=US by searching “GTL Inmate Visits.”

You must download BOTH Apps.

The FCSO will provide incarcerated individuals with two, 20-minute virtual visits a week at no cost.  In addition, there is a low-cost option of purchasing additional virtual visits and other items available on restricted access tablets assigned to FCCCII housing units.  We will soon share details about how to take advantage of these enhanced options.

In-person visits will continue at FCCCII for at least a couple of weeks to provide an opportunity for the FCSO to assist families with making the transition to virtual visits.  It’s important to note that professional visits, including attorneys and clergy, will remain in person.  Visits at Franklin County Corrections Center I in downtown Columbus will also remain in person.
