disaster Guides

As the Sheriff of Franklin County it is my responsibility to ensure that the County, as a whole, is prepared for any and all major disasters that pose a potential threat to our community.

It is your responsibility, as an individual, to prepare yourself and your loved ones for disasters such as fires, tornados and even terrorism.

The Family Disaster Preparedness Guide will provide you with an overview on what you can do to protect you and your family from potential disasters. Not only as a law enforcement leader, but also as a husband, father and grandfather, I highly recommend that you download this guide and review it with your loved ones and create you own Family Disaster Plan.

On October 31, 2002 staff members of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, attended a Family Disaster Preparedness Seminar, sponsored by the State of Ohio Task Force. The Family Disaster Preparedness Guide was made available to the attending agencies. We believe it is a important document and are making it available online for all who would like a copy.
