Body Found In Murder Case

On February 24, 2017, the body of Gabriel Hinojosa was discovered in a trash can partially submerged in Big Darby Creek in Southwest Franklin County

Sheriff Baldwin states: On February 24, 2017, the body of Gabriel Hinojosa was discovered in a trash can partially submerged in Big Darby Creek in Southwest Franklin County. Andrew McGowan and Hinojosa had a child together but had an extremely troubled relationship.
After an extensive investigation, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office detectives investigating the case arrested Andrew Michael McGowan in Jackson County, Ohio, and charged him with the murder of Gabriel Hinojosa. On March 13, 2018, after a two-week trial, McGowan was found guilty in Franklin County Common Pleas Court of Kidnapping, Aggravated Murder, Abuse of a Corpse, and Tampering with Evidence. Andrew McGowan will face a sentencing hearing on April 13, 2018.
