FCSO investigates double fatal crash in Groveport

Sheriff Dallas Baldwin states that the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal injury traffic crash that occurred at approximately 3:31 pm on 9/22/2025. A white 2000 Freightliner semi with trailer was on northbound Green Pointe Dr. S, stopped to make a turn into a business. A white 2004 Honda CRV was driving northbound on Green Pointe Dr. S and struck the rear of the trailer that was attached to the semi at a high rate of speed. The Honda caught fire but was extinguished quickly by responding personnel. Deputies from Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Officers from Groveport Police and Medics from Madison Township responded to the scene. The driver of the semi stayed on scene and was uninjured. The driver and passenger of the Honda, both adult males, were pronounced deceased on scene by Madison Township Medic 182.
 
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash.
