Public Affairs

The Public Affairs Office is responsible for working with the media to inform the public and residents of Franklin County of the daily happenings of the Sheriff's Office. This includes organizing and presenting news conferences, working with media at incident scenes to convey real time updates, publication and dissemination of the quarterly newsletter, creating and distributing news interest stories to appropriate media entities, and all other forms of public information distribution.

The office is led by the Public Information Officer who, in addition to the aforementioned duties, also serves as the spokesperson for the Sheriff and the Sheriff's Office.
