The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Bureau is responsible for the investigation of fatal, serious injury, hit skip, and department vehicle crashes. The bureau also investigates and, if necessary removes abandoned and junk vehicles, and is responsible for the disposition of vehicles impounded by members of the Office. For the year 2016, 29 fatal crashes were investigated.
The Traffic Bureau is comprised of two (2) sergeants, two (2) deputies, and one (1) civilian.
