The primary function of the Franklin County Sheriff Weight Enforcement Unit is to enforce the state laws regarding overloaded, oversized vehicles, in order to preserve the roadways and bridges in Franklin County. The Weight Enforcement Unit is a self supporting unit, funded through the Franklin County Engineer's Road and Bridge Fund. Personnel assigned consists of two (2) deputies.
