Careers at the Franklin County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) are honor and integrity bound where employees must conduct themselves with high ethical standards for the community they serve. Our mission, in part, is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Franklin County, to preserve the peace and prevent crime and disorder while constantly guarding personal liberties in addition to maintaining the safety and security of our correctional facilities and the Court of Common Pleas.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has an assortment of careers for civilians and many opportunities for advancement. We have positions in our Corrections Division - Corrections Services Coordinator, Corrections Records Officer, Commissary Storekeeper, ID Technician, Cook, Corrections Classifications Specialist, and Correctional Program Specialist; our Security Operations Division - Control Room Technician, and Facility Security Officer; and other divisions - Clerical Specialist, Typist, Secretary, and Record Communication Technician.
At minimum, applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of employment with a High School Diploma or GED. Applicants are subject to a background investigation which includes: review of criminal records, driving records, credit report, employment verifications, personal references, panel interview along with Computer Voice Stress Analysis. All applicants must pass a drug screening.
