Corrections Records Officer

Job Duties:

  • Establish and review files for arrestees/inmates coming into or being released from the correctional facilities; monitors the movement of inmates within the facilities and is responsible for maintaining records for inmates related to slating, custody, and releasing.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

  • Type 25 WPM.
  • Obtain/retain LEADS access.

Job Department Location:

  • James A. Karnes Corrections Center - Professional Services Bureau - Corrections Division
  • Franklin County Corrections Facility II - Professional Services Bureau - Corrections Division

Hourly Wage for 2024: $26.33

  • Shift differential is $0.85 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Probationary Period: 270 calendar days

Work Hours/Shift/Days:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm 
  • 2nd shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
  • Workdays: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
  • Days off will be two (2) consecutive days
