My name is Deputy Dwayne Turner, and I am currently assigned to the Recruitment, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Division. I have been an employee at the Franklin County Sheriffs Office for 14 years, 4 as an Identification Technician and 10 as a Deputy Sheriff.
My goal is to change the perspectives of Law Enforcement and show by example that anyone can perform this job at the highest level with the right work ethic, a positive attitude, and guidance.
I am currently in the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Recruitment Division and available Monday – Friday 7am-3pm.
I enjoy sports, high level chess, traveling, and family time.
Deputy Dwayne Turner is a Recruiter who works at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. For the past 14 years working there, he has worked as an Identification Technician where he identified inmates coming through the correctional facilities from 2010-2014. In 2014 he became a Deputy and worked in all 3 correctional facilities from 2014-2023. In 2023 Deputy Turner transitioned from corrections to the Facility Security Unit where he was the Deputy responsible for appeals court. Deputy Turner is currently assigned to Recruiting where he has been since May 2023.
Deputy Turner is passionate about Recruiting because he can inspire people of different backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities to join the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
In their spare time, Deputy Turner enjoys sports, chess, traveling, and he currently lives in Hilliard.
