The Facility Security Unit consists of three levels of civilian employees, Facility Security Specialist, Control Room Technician, and Facility Security Officers. These civilian employees work with deputies to support our mission of providing a safe and secure work environment for the employees of the Franklin County Government Center and surrounding buildings.
Facility Security Specialists work at the various locations around and away from the downtown complex to provide security along with the assigned deputies. Control Room Technicians monitor the various systems and cameras throughout the county complex as well and handle calls for assistance and dispatching. Facility Security Officers provide security by screening everyone and everything entering the county complex using x-ray machines, walk through metal detectors, and handheld metal detectors.
